SPACES

I am interested in the geometry of architectural spaces. In my profession as an architect I have always been restricted by the structural and utilitarian possibilities of designs and spaces. Painting architecture allows me to experience the profession from a freer position.

Some of the spaces and room that I paint are related to mental states, spaces in my memory, reflections about myself. Some of the buildings I paint are viewed from the outside and some sirve as background for en object, such as a bouquet of flowers.

Me interesa la geometría de los espacios arquitectónicos. Mi profesión como arquitecta ha estado siempre restringida por las posibilidades estructurales y utilitarias de los diseños y de los espacios. Pintar la arquitectura me permite vivir la profesión desde un lugar más libre, ya que incorporo la ambigüedad y me permito licencias respecto a la coherencia y la verosimilitud de lo representado.

A veces los espacios, las habitaciones que pinto, se relacionan con estados mentales, espacios en mi memoria, reflexiones acerca de mí, etc. Otras veces, el edificio es representado por fuera, o hace de fondo para ubicar algún objeto, como un ramo de flores.
